What is Microscope
Microscope is a game of collaborative world-building where players take turns fleshing out the history of a world. Though Microscope's creator calls it a role-playing game, it is very different from the traditional role-playing games most of us know: there is no GM, and all players have equal creative power in the context of the game.
Because of the large degree of independence that each player has during her turn, Microscope's game mechanics are especially suited for online play. Moreover, games of Microscope use index cards to record and document their progress. For an online game, a wiki seems like an especially appropriate alternative. And thus, this wiki was started.
